Sutton United's Borough Sports Ground Conference side Sutton United has contracted FieldTurf to install its ‘3G Football Turf’ artificial pitch at the Borough Sports Ground.
A recent change in regulations means Sutton United are one of a number of clubs who are looking at installing 3G pitches such as 3G Football Turf in the close season to conform to FIFA 2-star performance standards.
“The stadium pitches at Kilmarnock FC, Cardiff Blues, Stenhousemuir and Newtown FC have all received rave reviews from players and managers so it was a natural choice to select the same surface,” said Sutton United manager Paul Doswell.
“We also took advice from the contractor and have selected a shockpad system to help with player safety, improve playing characteristics and increase the longevity of the pitch. It was the more expensive option but our players deserve the best.”
