Baldwin Boxall Communications has launched its latest Emergency Voice Communication development - VIGIL OmniCare.
The system allows users to have disabled refuge remotes, fire telephones remotes and disabled toilet alarms all on the same system rather than on three different ones as in the past.
Benefits of the new system are that:
- it is addressable, with engineers simply addressing each remote unit allowing the master control to be divided into three separate sectors;
- it can dial up to three additional numbers if there is no reply from the master unit (option);
- by adding a logging device a fault and event history can be downloaded;
- it uses voice steering techniques during communication with a Disabled Refuge area.
The system works in the same way as the company's CARE products. Remote units are wired in a loop configuration and it is possible to have a number of disabled refuge remotes, fire telephones or toilet alarms all on the same loop.
By wiring in a loop configuration installation costs are reduced compared to star wired systems due to reduced cabling lengths.
Also in the range, Baldwin Boxall has developed a combined disabled refuge and fire telephone remote which has been designed to ensure that OmniCare meets all Emergency Voice Communication requirements.
